  Kombucha
Steve Lee was no stranger to tea. He co-founded and helped built two successful tea brands, Stash and Tazo tea. As soon as he saw kombucha in the 1980’s it captured his attention.
But it was not until his Russian business travels of the 1990s that interest and intrigue grew into something more. Visiting the home of his Russian business partner, Steve asked his partner’s aged mother the secret of her longevity and vitality.
With a twinkle in her eye, she brought him a taste of the kombucha she always kept brewing, from a culture passed down through generations. It tasted so good he asked for the recipe and a portion of the culture, called “starter,” that he could take to America.
Steve was inspired. He brought the precious starter home and began brewing kombucha in his own kitchen. Inspiration became a passion as he observed the effects of the drink on his own sense of well being.
Steve became convinced that more people in the US should be able to experience the benefits of kombucha, without all the trouble of home brewing.
So, acting on his desire to spread health and well being and bring people of different cultures together, he set out to make Kombucha Wonder Drink a reality.
